ArcelorMittal may cut 400 jobs in Liege

It's reported that ArcelorMittal may lay off as many as 400 jobs at its Liege plants after trade unions rejected the planned cutbacks.

It is said that ArcelorMittal is forming an employment committee to cut staff.

According to the head of ArcelorMittal's Liege unit, Mr Bernard Dehut that the unions denied to accept economic realities and rejected a plan that would have cut 86 jobs earlier.
